We are thrilled to announce that one of our brilliant PhD students, Kyle, has just submitted his thesis at Deakin University, titled "Predicting Marine Invasions for Optimised Management."
Final MBT Annual General Meeting
This past Monday (26th August 2024), we held the final AGM for the Marine Biosecurity Toolbox project, after five years of intensive research and collaborations. During the meeting, scientists presented a comprehensive overview of the incredible achievements and contributions to our end-users and collaborators.
Some of the impressive key outcomes of the program include:
- Over 100 workshops and hui held
- 90 substantial instances of information sharing and advice
- 76 non-peer-reviewed publications and 39 peer-reviewed articles, with an additional 12 in preparation
- 18 new products, processes, and services developed
- 5 commissioned reports completed
- Recognition with 4 science awards and 1 patent secured
We are immensely proud of these accomplishments and grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of the Toolbox. It has been an inspiring journey, and the legacy of the work will continue to impact the field.
Thanks so much for everyone’s contributions, Grant and Patrick
